*Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy equipment operation. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by performing high-quality repairs and maintenance. *Responsibilities* * Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery using schematics and technical manuals. * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy equipment, including crane trucks, utility trucks, and hi-rail's * Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs as needed to ensure optimal performance. * Operate heavy equipment to test functionality after repairs are completed. * Perform welding tasks as required for equipment repair or modification. * Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used. * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols. * Assist in training junior mechanics or apprentices when necessary. *Experience* * Proven experience in hydraulics * Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation. * Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to read schematics effectively. * Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repair tasks. * Experience working with farm machinery is a plus. * Certification or training in relevant mechanical fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
