BC Training Navigator is an independent guide. Our goal is to help students and workers in British Columbia understand career training funding, verify school options, and avoid enrollment mistakes. This page explains how we produce and maintain our content.

1. Primary sources first

We start with official sources such as StudentAid BC, WorkBC, the BC Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills, and PTIRU. We do not rely on school marketing materials for factual claims about funding eligibility or designation.

2. Plain-language explanation

Government funding rules can be dense. We translate them into clear, scannable language using short paragraphs, key facts, comparison tables, and FAQ blocks. We aim for accuracy, not oversimplification.

3. Regular review cycle

Funding policies change. We review core pages at least quarterly and update them when major policy shifts occur, such as the 2026 changes to private college designation. Each page displays its last updated date.

4. School data verification

School listings come from a mix of public datasets and school-submitted information. Schools can claim or apply to update their listing. We flag unverified information and encourage readers to confirm details directly with official sources.

5. Editorial independence

We accept paid featured placements, but they do not influence our explanations, comparisons, or factual content. Basic school listings are free.
